EDIT: Just spotted the end of the UTV Live curtain and a gap before the other blank studio set begins in the cap where Fearghal is talking to someone on a plasma screen...

I like the way the logo on the full frame graphics isn't the same as the one on the titles for the UTV coverage.

The TOG was needed to be the logo when the counts were 0 as the same fill and key created the lower thirds / captions so it had to stay otherwise there would be no captions.

Someone hit the wrong button on the receiver i'm guessing?

Oh and an anorak moment for those techie people interested in such things, the BBC NI 3D stuff was created by an fancy programme called Ventuz running off the one system that also controlled the lower thirds.

Will there be any special features on election coverage soon?

I'm sure once Stevie has a free moment outside of uni commitments there'll be stuff on UTV's coverage on UTV Today, but can we expect any coverage of BBC Northern Ireland's coverage anywhere?

Good planning for the roll-up screens at the counts to be re-usable next time around.

Both BBC NI and UTV did that at the last election in 2003 - but they were different screens.

And the UTV one at their OB in that city in the North West said "Derry" last time.

I was having a flick through the UTV programme on my sky plus box, but it chopped off most of it for some reason. I noticed it there, but couldn't see why, but did Tina present any part of the programme?

I was just about to bring that up. I was watching back yesterday's footage since I didn't get to see any of it at the time due to being at uni all day and noticed her standing there most of the day. In today's 5pm programme she presented a short news segment in front of the CSO screen as did Gary Gillespie with the sport. However I have watched back every programme I recorded from Thurday and did not see a single bit of other news or sport during the main programme, despite Tina being there all day. Surely that's not allowed?

And wasn't Lynda Bryans mentioned in the programme detail - no sight or sound of her it seems.
