So, the Voice is back tonight, and whilst I can't really remember what the last series was like, I think this is an improvement on the last series so far. The blind auditions also feel a fair bit better than the X Factor. Interesting to see how it does in the ratings, because it did quite well initially at the beginning last time around, and then sort of fell behind as it went on - I think Britain's Got Talent was on at the same time, too.

On a pres note, they're still using some fairly ugly name straps, although I think they're slightly better than the ones from last series.

I think its much better than the X Factor as people are judged for the voice alone not what they look like.

People are hardly judged for what they look like on The X Factor. Plenty of fugly turds have made it to the finals.

Actually thinking about it the only part of The Voice that isn't about the way they look or their back story is the performance itself. The bits before they get on stage and after they judges have turned around are all about how surprising it is that they sing country when they look like a chav or how their ill nan has miraculously made it all the way to MediaCity or how incredible it is that they can sing whilst being 90% blind.

Well that's their selling point yet every auditionee is pre-empted with a three minute sob story and there are more packed into an episode of The Voice than an entire series of The X Factor.

I'm no fan of X Factor and all the rest but the Voice really gets my goat because it's so full of itself. Even Fame Aacademy wasn't this smug. And what was the result? A completely forgettable winner that missed the top 40 completely. It makes you wonder whether they'd be doing a series 2 had they not signed up to a two series deal at the start.

I wonder how long it'll take for the press to pick up on contestants speeches being edited. It would appear Lorraine Crosby isn't too happy on how she was edited based on this little piece written by Meat Loaf... https://www.facebook.com/MeatLoaf/posts/10151829489022646
