Lets be fair to BGT, many of those who watched on +1 would have probably have chosen that over The Voice had they been going head to head.

I agree, I only continue watching The Voice because I started. If they both started at 7pm, I'd choose BGT.

I'm not sure I like The Voice...everyone seems 'too good'. I enjoy the novelty acts on Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor.

Yes, BGT would definitely win if it began either immediately after The Voice or went directly head to head. I know some people would say The Voice would win live as people would watch BGT and skip the ads, but I think sometimes ads are a welcome break in shows like this. The Voice is a pretty hard slog with audition after audition after audition for 80 minutes - and those clips of the judges they keep using to break it up a bit are even more annoying than any Go Compare ad.

Don't get me wrong though I think the BBC are doing a much better job with The Voice than they've done with any imported format in recent years - but in a way although scheduling it in BGT season has helped the ratings I think the fact it's not standing on it's own two feet is somewhat off putting. The anti-Cowell brigade makes me laugh too - generally speaking they're the same people who'd slag off John de Mol's most famous creation too.

You're are going to have to explain this one. I don't think I am aware of any TV Forum posters with Asperger's Syndrome and if I did I would treat them the same as anyone else, lampooning or not.



My post mentioned time machines and parallel universes. Thanks for taking it seriously anyway, I believe I made a valid point. There is no need to mention that you are stating an opinion in every post, it should be assumed by the reader. That's only my opinion of course.

Now now David. You're making a huge assumption there that I don't have access to a time machine or live in some kind of parallel universe. Indeed next week The Voice and Talent will be going head to head down under.

I am without doubt that if BGT started immediately after The Voice ended it would top the ratings each Saturday. The head to head is more of a shout - if it had been that way from the start I've no doubt BGT would have beaten The Voice, but if they switched to that strategy now it would be 50/50.
