I wouldn't say Emma is better than Holly at all - but neither would I say Holly is better than Emma. Both are good at what they do.
I would assume Emma will be the lead presenter (or at worst, a co-presenter on more equal terms than Reggie was), as otherwise surely the BBC wouldn't have announced her first.

I think that's what it boils down to - opinion. I think Dermot O'Leary is rather dreary, and others think he's the best thing since Emma Willis. The format probably doesn't need a second presenter, but I think that reducing it do one presenter now would be problematic.
As I said, I don't think she's a bad presenter, but I do think there is a reason behind them having a replacement co-presenter.
I'm not sure the format really needs a co-presenter though. X Factor works well with a single presenter, and Ant and Dec are effectively a single presenter in most ways on BGT (as they never split up)
As for why people think she's better - I guess it's personal taste, but Emma definitely has a bit more oomph, and a bit more sass. Holly's just a bit vanilla.

I gather she is to have a co-presenter, I have an idea as to who it might be from some Tweets, Expect a release next week, I suspect surprise will be universal when announced.
Interesting choice, from leftfield, if my suspicions have foundations. Not prepared to name at present, but will refer back to a specific message as and when announced.

Thanks for that completely pointless post.

I was just about to predict Matt Johnson for the role. As you say, he quit The Hub a coup,e of weeks ago on This Morning, and if the co-host is to take Reggie's role then it is a very similar job to The Hub presenter - reading out tweets and Facebook comments.
I wonder how long it will be until Emma quits The Hub. She really doesn't need it now with The Voice and Big Brother. She has already confirmed on Twitter she will be back hosting Big Brother next series. Interestingly, she's also covering Holly on This Morning tomorrow and Tuesday. Holly is off after having nodules removed from her throat - probably caused by all that shouting on The Voice!
I wonder if her co-host could be somebody like Matt Johnson? He recently quit The Hub on This Morning and he seemed to have good chemistry on Big Brother's Bit on the Side with Emma when he was on a few weeks back.

Basically if it's who you think it is, you'll come out and say "thought it would be him" but you don't want to look stupid and you hope everyone will forget about it if you're wrong.
Knowing you, you probably think it's going to be Josh Widdicombe or Alex Brooker.
I think Matt Johnson is probably a better call though. Although I think he's silly If he's given up his This Morning role for possibly just one series of the same role on The Voice and by the same token Emma is wise to stay in the This Morning family meaning she's more likely to get to cover Holly.

I would guess as she's started the "new" series that she's probably contracted for another year - and she's got her foot in the door at the show, as covering for Holly over the next couple of days shows. It's not a bad idea for her to have a "day job" in addition to BB, but she is too good for The Hub.

Just throwing my opinion into the ring.
I think the new co-host is still likely to be a Radio 1 presenter, perhaps Greg James? He seems favourable with the BBC TV Chiefs at the moment. Just a suggestion.

Ah yeah, he's another one DVB Cornwall is a fan of. I think that's quite a credible suggestion.
