Viva

I've been trying to get the bottom of this channel for past couple of weeks, and I've at last got somewhere, what resulted in confusing matters was the channel started using break bumpers as idents, and vice versa, with addition pres thrown into the mix. Its has stumped people including myself.

With the original package being reinstated, albeit in reduced numbers, Three is seems, with next and now being used for most of the TV shows intros.

I will be honest the current package is not coming up for six years old, and is basically a miss mash of presentation.

Just to add, VIVA's finally had the aspect ratio of its graphics fixed. No more stretchyvision, although its 4:3 safe.....

You would have thought everything would have been in 16.9 since it only show modern hits, Mind you a few of its TV show are still in 4.3

I've been of the opinion recently that Viva just doesn't know whether it wants to be a music channel or a "Best of Viacom" channel. It's visibly detached from its European channels, who all all use a black set of triangles as the logo (and have done apparently since Jan 2011) and not the pink one the UK channel has.

There is no music during peak time expect for a Saturday, with Sunday - Friday filled with any old comedy, I wonder why there result to this. The fact there also have 2 hour Kids block each day also seems to tick PSB boxes.

Its those live action idents which introduce the kids show.

I know that but its one of the only channels which are still has a kids block.

The last time I checked, it was Spongebob Squarepants that was shown during the segment - one presumes it's because it is a show that appeals to both (young) adults and children.

It's similar to the old Play UK format with music during the day and comedy at night.
