Turned in for a little bit this morning but only really caught the DOGs, which are a bit bigger (but not much) than before. Ireland AM has a new look.
The Sky EPG has gone for “Virgin One HD”, “Virgin Two HD” and “Virgin Three” which I suspect will be what most people will start calling the channels.

But viewers will know what VM means on the EPG without changing the logo and they could use the one without the Virgin Media writing.

Well it's all nice enough, I suppose, but "Virgin Media News" will never not sound like a spoof newscast in a cable advert (seeing that mic shield alone makes it difficult to take seriously), and the channel names will never be referred to in full by anyone other than continuity announcers.

Virgin Media Two has launched with two idents. Probably a bit too good for the channel it is representing! Shame the audio ducker problem persists and from the small amount of the soundtrack that can be heard, it sounds rather basic. With an upbeat soundtrack this would have been a very nice package.
