Virgin Media drops Bauer/Channel 4 music channels

Adverts on Magic TV this afternoon claim that The Hits, Kerrang! TV, Smash Hits, Q, The Box, Kiss and Magic will be removed from Virgin Media as of tomorrow. There are two adverts, one provides a number to call to register a complaint and the other gives the number to get Sky, which I bet VM like...

This seems to have come very much out of the blue, with no advance warning.

oddly there is no coverage of this on ds, or their virgin forums. are your initials p.a. by any chance?

Or even Sky themselves.

Nothing said about it anywhere else.

Hyma, I'm not sure if it's "P.A" as the poster in question doesn't ask about the possibilites of The Hits being bought by Paramount Comedy and asks what the results will look like if Challenge merged with Sky Box Office. Though I could be wrong. He may have taken a different disguise...

Can't say I've seen anything when glancing on The Hits via Freeview. Also quickly checking across the channel's websites I see no mention. Thus I'm inclined to say this is a hoax.
