Virgin Media Censorship of EPG

I observed Will Smith's movie of the other evening was listed as "HanC**k", and a pal has just facebooked a screengrab of her football epg listing showing "A***nal" playing (which is an ironic resultant name, really).

Just what the heck are they playing at? Is there such a concern that rude words will be included in benign TV listings?

I'm hoping it's an over-zealous automated system of some sort, because if an actual human has done that, then they deserve all kinds of pain.

iTunes had a similar problem a few years ago when almost everything of even slight sauciness managed to get censored. Katy Perry's Hot 'n Cold became H*t 'n Cold.

Not sure about the article tone but at least it feels like an odd joke VM might have done as a small publicity stunt now rather than genuine incompetence.
