I only get it when the programme has had another 2 recordings either directly before or after, it happens fairly often to me but only at particular times when lots of stuff clashes (Friday nights and Wednesday nights being two regular times)
What logic does Sky+ use for it's prioritising?
Last week I had a part recording on a series link, the last 20 mins were missed, and for the first time the reason given was 'Schedule Changed'. I've never seen that before.
I'm not sure why the box decided that the curent recording was less important than the next one listed. Both were series links, as was the other recording which overlapped both.
There are two videos here of the actual firmware incl some slightly odd performance issues in the second video. Certainly far superior to the current stuff though.
Think I've figured out the odd clashing issue. I have it set to extend by a couple of minutes before each show and 5 mins afterwards. But if I'm recording a show before, it cuts off and starts the new one (fair enough, it can't give me the extra 2mins) but then it seemed to be programmed to just ignore the post-programme extend. Why would it be designed like that?! "Oh I couldn't give you an early couple of minutes so won't bother trying at the end. Ha ha."
Reading the blogs on Tivo hasn't particularly impressed me, the menu seems quite slow (although I think I read the clip was an early version), it still won't have a dynamic EPG (how hard can it be?) and the SD upscale doesn't seem to be as good as Samsung. Bonus marks though for finally being able a programme from the start at any point providing you've been tuned to that channel and the backwards EPG for catch up.

I actually upped the BB to XL after the original anno when there was the rumour that "triple xl" customers might get things a bit cheaper. Wonder if that has somehow cancelled by pre-reg signup within Virgin's utterly unfathomable systems.
