Oh come on, anything is better than this 1990's hunk of junk we call STB's that we have right now surely? My knowledge of the Telewest area isn't as good as NTL, but does anyone have any caps of their TV Drive STB?
The TVDrive box is identical, just silver instead of black (but I don't think it will stay that way following the relaunch as Virgin Media). I can't see how they think that box looks nice, even Sky's rather plain Sky+ box looks nicer, and it doesn't even compare to the Sky HD box and the normal Sky Digibox, which have the much nicer 'Flow' design.
Yeah, that's the box right now but think about it, it's merely just a rebadged TV Drive box which'll be phased out and replaced most likely in the next year. Why I have confidence in things actually taking a turn for the better is because the new interim crap we've got now is crap and Virgin isn't the type of company who'd allow one of their new businesses to slope around in the proverbial for too long.
I only want for them to move to better boxes (maybe making V+Boxes entry level as Sky is rumoured to be doing for their Sky+ boxes), better software for things to run on (OpenTV) and to be somewhat proud of being with VM rather than wanting to shift over to Sky because there's no other real alternative.
Virgin iD on Channel 999 has gone Live at 12.00am, not much different to the Information Channel NTL had previously, but so far it looks more bearable, and it's using alot of Cartoons to demonstrate.
