I don't see the point of Virgin Central, it seems to exist only to promote the free stuff. There's not much on there; there's far more choice on the rest of the On Demand service. Admittedly, you have to pay, but it seems a bit strange to have this "channel" which simply runs a trailer in a loop.

EDIT: As has been said, a lot is free. Vicar Of Dibley, Balls of Steel, Office Specials. Its really very good.

Pardon me?

I don't control Sky.

Virgin Central is little more than a VOD frontend and fairly pointless given that it's confused some subscribers into thinking it actually operates from the channel though it's little more than a VOD menu that can be accessed like the rest of the content. FWIK only subscribers to the XL pack can get it for free otherwise it's 49p per episode or £5 if you've subscribed for a month.

Virgin Central content is only free for 3 more months, after that it'll work on the same model as the remainder of the content does.

I sound like an Old git but Virgin can dance around showing off how good their Virgin OD service is and how they will get many of Sky One's imports on their platform... ok fine that will please alot of the annoyed but its all of no use to me because the thing I want is Brainiac which you simply cannot provide for me ... sorry.

I'm I right in saying if you have phone, broadband and TV from virgin media and you just want to drop out the tv service. You can do it and payment is £50??

Yeah, I'm fairly certain that if you wish to bail out before your 12 month period is up they'll charge you £50 disconnection charge. I'm not so certain so check your T&Cs if you want to know exactly.

Yes but I think its just for people who have TV (just tv) not the whole package. I have all 3 from them and just want to ditch the tv, so don't think the offer applies to me.

The answer to Murdoch is a simple one:

* Force him to sell all his UK media interests to UK ownership, including BSkyB, The Sun, MySpace, and whatever else he has his hands on.

But this won't happen of course, not while this crook has the power to influence which party wins general elections.

Why should they be owned by someone in the UK?

1. Becuase they would better serve the UK audiences;

2. Because it would stop some other multinational from becoming as greedy as Murdoch.
