You're quite right. The forum is riddled with meaningless repetition on the part of this serial troller.

Waste of a keyboard.

Have you had a bad day at the office Gavin? Shocked Shocked Shocked

Am I not permitted to say things as I see them, Stuart? I suppose if I was female you would be asking if I was on my period.

You shouldn't need to ask that Jugalug. I have never demonstrated any support for the Trolls. I'm not about to start just because their in-breeding seems to have reached epic proportions Rolling Eyes

Back on topic now everyone! Laughing

BBC News 24 has been moved from channel 610 to 601. Must say, it gave me a fright when I went to 610 and saw 'Ex BBC News 24' on the EPG!

Sky News of course was on 602... Is it a viewer-friendly move, or just a bit of spite?

Not much has changed over the day same old, same old, but I will say I got in from work less than half an hour ago and what was the first thing I did when I put the TV on?

I went straight to Ch 120 for The Simpsons, but D'oh! (Sorry about the pun)

I know i'm echoing almost everyone else on the topic, but I'm pleased Virgin are sticking up two fingers at Sky, more money for the same old shít, no Thanks.

I just need to spend about £120 to complete my Simpsons collection if need be.

On the much forgotten NTL analogue service that still exists, when you turn to Sky One you are greeted with the Hallmark channel and a message overlaid in the blocky text that is used for the channel numbers. The message is revealed gradually, line by line, and appears everytime you turn to what was Sky One (ch7). Sky News just shows the standard Virgin Media caption advising viewers to switch to News 24.

What's the message saying I wonder? Do miss Sky One being at 7, good old days and all that.

Virgin still run a residual analogue service Shocked Shocked Shocked

I do remember that when I had Sky Analogue back in 98 I used to change the channel names to "X- the channel name " or whenever one ceased broadcasting, just so I knew what it was before when I was flicking through the channel list.

Of course, that was the days before EPGs

Here on lovely (NTL) Virgin Media analogue cable service in Milton Keynes as nobody wants to upgrade it to digital. It's BT's cable but they don't want to touch it as it's Virgin Media's service and NTL at the time didn't want to touch it as it was BT's line and didn't want to invest. so people in MIlton Keynes are either switching to Sky or putting a roof aerial up. Both really commonplace these days but not seen mainstream enough about 5 years ago.

Anyway, as Whataday mentions, Sky One has been replaced with Hallmark. The following screengrab shows the message which flashes up on screen...
