Virgin Central 2 appears to be Virgin Central, but delayed a bit. It's also got a crawl saying "Thanks to Sky, the Sky One channel is no longer available. They've picked up their ball and gone home. Foul play? We think so. Press i to find out more..."
Sky News and Sky Sports News have a static caption with a similar message.

Well done Virgin for sticking to their guns. Branson had tackled bullies before (think of BA), BSkyB may have met their match.
I love the new channel names on the Virgin EPG (from DS) :

Haha... Virgin definitely won't be getting them back now they've called Sky's channels "Sky Snooze" and "Sky Sports Snooze"!

I can understand VM viewers being annoyed if they lost (no pun intended) a programme they wanted, but it's not the end of the world. We all moan about how often things are repeated anyway.
I have Sky+, so I still have all the same channels, but my support is actually for Virgin on this issue because I think BSkyB are bullies. This potential thought they have of selling direct to the cable market is yet another scam they have produced from up their sleeve - like their unapproved proposal to include 4 subscription channels on DTT in place of the 3 FTA ones.
This whole spat has been messy, but it's about alot more than the carriage of some basic channels. BSkyB think they can probably treat this the same way they did with the BSB/Sky debacle (in which Branson did a runner and Sky bought the lot).
BSkyB see Virgin as a threat. Virgin are in a strong enough position to respond, and they don't like it!

Fair play to Virgin, I guess they're getting their own back for Sky's "NTL-Virgin" promos. It doesn't surprise me that the former Sky one channel now has Virgin (Media) content on it, I guess if Sky wish to reinstate their channels they may now have lost the 120 channel number and get allocated one further down.

Very childish of Virgin for doing the above.
Shows how much of a professional company they really are.
Serves Cable customers right anyway - it's their own fault for choosing an inferior service.
I just feel sorry for Richard Branson. Those idiots at (what was) NTL:Telewest are really dragging the Virgin name through the mud

Besides, it is actually Sky that is the inferior platform, it just lacks content (even more today!) and high-definition channels. Virgin actually has proper video-on-demand services, whereas with Sky's (which hasn't launched yet) you have to wait for a "selection" of programmes to be downloaded and stored on the hard drive overnight.
