Virgin have secured the on demand rights to the first three seasons of Lost - although they won't able to show them until August.

This is good news for Virgin, only downside is that they will have to wait till August to show them.
Just need to get 24 and I will be happy (not that it will happen with 24 being a Fox programme)

As has been said before, this feud doesn't really benefit anyone, but it will be far worse for Virgin. Without the likes of Sky One they may as well just be Freeview - I certainly don't have much use for the likes of Living, Hallmark etc.
Another advert has just gone out on Sky One telling Virgin viewers they may soon lose some Sky channels, and telling them to either contact Virgin or join Sky.
(Incidentally, brilliantly it goes on about Sky's massive investment in new programmes - midway through an ancient Simpsons episode...)
It's disastrous publicity for Virgin though. They've been completely outmanouvered on this one. And at the end of the day the punters won't care why Virgin have lost Sky - they'll just want them to sort it.
EDIT: Another advert - Virgin may drop new Simpsons. Punctuated with the usual Simpsons clips and predictable "D'ohs". Finished off with Homer saying: "TV that comes out of a dish - where do I sign?"

Right, now knowing. Right i'll download a torrent of all The Simpson's episodes *cough.. Now that just leaves Brainiac science abuse/test tube baby.... thats my main pain when they come back on air later in the air. Right assuming sky1 hasn't come back on by then (which it won't have) I just have to hope and rely on downloads for the episodes appearing in the place where I got them last series from 'before' getting telewest (mainly just so I could watch it
).
Its going to be a long 11 months until I can switch to sky.

Would you stick with Virgin if they were forced to severely hike up your prices to keep Sky One?
Please could you explain your viewpoint on the actions of the two companies rather than simply going "grr, i want simpsons" over and over again
