I could live without Sky One as well as I watch hardly anything on there. I certainly wont be paying extra for it.

Can't really tell you the last time I watched Sky One.

I'd prefer to have it in my channel lineup, but not at an extra cost of £5.

On the other hand I'd be a bit lost without Living or the UKTV channels.

I only really watch ITV2 and E4 regularly out of the non terrestrial channels. When Granada Plus was around i watched that loads, and used to watch quite a bit on UK Gold in the early days but not now.

I think I'm correct in saying that Virgin Media Television is in charge of distribution of the UKTV channels too. I read somewhere when BrightIdeas started on Freeview, it was their responsibility to negotiate carriage. So, with sit-up.tv that would mean the following channels are, in theory, under their control:

...

I would say those channels serve a substantial share of the multichannel audience.

Sort of. UKTV is a joint project between the BBC and Flextech, which IIRC was bought out by Virgin Media. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Flextech is no more. It's called Virgin Media Television.

The only BBC programmes I've heard teens talking about are Little Britain, Top Gear and Torchwood.

That's a very small amount compared to the rest of the programmes they talk about. Sky One and Living, Channel 4 all seem popular.

And as a public service broadcaster, the BBC should have more programming aimed at teens. That's why I think a teen brand is a good idea.

I know from personal experience that teens tend to steer away from anything with "teens" on it, which is why you need to be subtle. I did, however, like your BBC Teens mocks.

Woah, how did that happen?

That should be posted in another thread.

That surprises me actually - from what little we learn about each other around here I wouldn't have thought much on Sky One interested you!

There are a couple of decent things on Sky One, and they do keep promising to try to push it upmarket a little, which to some extent they have achieved from what the channel was about 5 or 6 years ago.

Good grief yes! The channel is much better nowadays than it was when it went through the boozy larger-lout phase which accompanied the orange era.

Still a long way to go though.
