From February 14th 2007, NTL Telewest and Virgin come together to form Virgin Media.
Leading up to the day 'V-day' as it will be called, a major marketing campaign will be unveiled which will include TV, magazines, newspapers and billboard posters.
A new set-top box with Sky Plus characteristics will be launched along with HD programmes, and a new look EPG.

In this thread, talk about the lead up to the rebrand and your thoughts on the partnership.

That box has already launched. It's available across Telewests network and some of NTL's network under the name of TVDrive.

We got a letter through the post about this yesterday, it was a nice glossy booklet and a letter from Sir Richard himself promising loads, although I hope this does happen, but I'm not expecting much after years of the same old from NTL.

There's already a channel running on Bromley and Langley, it's called Virgin iD on Channel 999, that's showing a caption of what's to come.

What does this box look like? Is it very different from what we have now? Also, will old customers be able to get a new box?

Is it just the overall company that will be called Virgin Media or if I wanted to get cable would it also be called Virgin instead of NTL?

The new TVDrive box is the same but black with the Virgin Media logo on it, and the Cable Modem is the same as the blue NTL one's but black with the new logo on them.

Wonder what people will expect when they see it, the service remains very inferior to anyone else out there right now.

Thanks for the link, the booklet I received today referred to the URL know1st.co.uk, which at the moment doesn't work.
