Well I haven't heard it happen to ITVs timeshift channels ITV2+1 (=ITV3?) and ITV3+1 (=ITV4?) yet, nor Channel 4 + 1 (=Channel 5?), though it has been mentioned in passing 'jokes'.

I'm surprised they haven't done that... Well maybe not Living in its entirety, but I'd have thought an EPG swap with Living+1 or Living 2 could have been worth their while.

The launch night is certainly disappointing.

But to be fair they're trying with 8 new US shows being debuted in October. That's not bad for a new player on the market.

Does anyone know if Virgin1will show any US talkshows like Tonight Show with Jay Leno or Late Night with Conan O'Brien?

I know another new television station Diva TV launching on 1st October on Sky will be showing Late Show with David Letterman, I wonder if they will show Leno or O'Brien as they are great shows to have on weeknights, better than the UK chatshows.


I think it would do their schedule well as these shows are popular.

Not popular enough though, sadly. Every channel that has taken on these shows has gradually given up on them. The only channel that seems to be committed is More4 with 'The Daily Show'. They've kept it in prime time for 2 years now!.

They're not all new US shows, in fact The Unit, Blade and Always Sunny in Philidelphia have been seen already on Bravo. Living TV have shown Boston Legal and Criminal Minds.

Virgin 1 appears to be predominantly a "best of" showcase from the other Virgin Media channels.

Oh! Crying or Very sad Very Happy The wait is nearly over.

I read on anothe for(DS)um that Virgin 1 isn't going to be FTA on satellite. I'm surprised it's on satellite at all actually.
