Virgin 1 Disscusion

To be honest I wasn't expecting this channel to be much good but in the last week I've probably watched it more than any other digital channel!

I thought The Riches was superb, one of those rare quality US gems, so unique and entertaining, I'm totally hooked already. It's also a welcome return of Star Trek to a sensible timeslot and on Freeview, I had forgotten how good it was, better than most new TV shows. There's quite a few shows from Bravo that I've not seen before as I've only got Freeview, nice that there's some original stuff as well, the daytime schedule isn't very exciting but I never watch daytime TV so it doesn't bother me and its only on Freeview from 6pm anyway.

I am disappointed that the Poker seems to have disappeared from Virgin1. This was a regular feature on Ftn and even appeared in the TV listings for the first week on Virgin1. However after one day the schedule changed and we now have 2 or 3 hours of roulette.

Oh dear.

Yes. Because gambling is an absolutely integral part of television.

hm, I personally think poker TV is better left on dedicated channel's. Its to much of a niche hobby (or dare I say profession) to fill a channel like V1

Really enjoying Monday nights on Virgin 1 - The Riches followed by the It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia double bill.

My only complaint I have is the bizarre order they are showing It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. For example, the pre-recorded announcer this week said one of them was supposed to be the one about a dead guy in the bar - when it wasn't. And they have been showing the previous episodes out of sequence as well. It's not really a continuing story - so it doesn't matter too much - but it would be nice to see them in the right order. I wonder if series 2 will be in the right order when it starts this coming Monday night?

I have to say I am watching a lot more of Virgin 1 than I thought. I missed most of DS9 when it was first shown - never realy got into it - but since reading the books decided I was going to give it another go. Realy enjoying it. Also the Unit is on series link.

Like most of the franchises, DS9 was slow to start but got better and better. You'll love it.

MODS: Could the thread subtitle PLEASE be changed to reflect the overwhelming views in the thread rather than those of a Digital Spy moaner who only came here to be first to start a thread (as its next to impossible to be the first to do anything there)?

I've sent Asa an email re: the subtitle.

I got my freeview fixed and was looking forward to seeing 321 on ftn after months of NO SIGNAL
Upgraded my aerial and everythings hunky dory....but now theres no ftn and I havent seen a single show on Virgin1 I want to watch
