Sky2 and 3 are relatively pointless anyway. One shows repeats of what Sky1 shows and the other shows nothing but Airline and ancient episodes of Brainiac which even I'm bored of now, and I used to love Brainiac. They should turn Sky2 into Sky Atlantic and turn Sky3 into Bravo, spreading Channel One's content over the three of them, or simply put all the relevant programming on Sky2 and 3 to keep the branding consistent.

Sky3 is Sky's Freeview "teaser" channel, hardly pointless to them, even more so considering it was deemed worthy of a timeshift over it's flagship channel, Sky1. And it's already stated Bravo is closing.

Sky Atlantic seems to be what's going to replace Sky3 on Sky 108, but there's nothing to suggest Sky3 is closing, it'll probably just move position from Sky 108 to somewhere else and stay as it is on Freeview.

alas SKY 3 is on freeview, and I believe a lot of channel one shows are heading there,

I would be very surprised if a significantly large portion of the current programming of Channel One goes anywhere near Sky3. Sky3 is effectively a collection of hand-me-downs from Sky1 with the odd acquisition or three, and most of Channel One's output is based on American TV, which Sky3 currently shows very little of anyway.

Pretty sure Sky have stated that Sky 2 and 3 are not closing, just moving further down the EPG.

They have, at the same time as announcing Sky Living and Sky Atlantic. They'll probably just take the EPG positions of the current Living and Bravo.

I know, but it was claimed that most of the programming would be shifted to the Sky channels, IIRC. Despite it's rapid decline, I think more casual viewers see an appeal in the Bravo brand rather than Sky2.

The current run of Criminal Minds on Channel 1 will be moving to Living mid-season, after Living have repeated all of the episodes up to the point they meet.

Well, while I was sleeping (or if you wish, recovering from 6 bottles of blue wkd), Bravo, Bravo+1, and therefore presumably Bravo 2 all ceased broadcasting, at 04:00. I didn't record it, but someone did. Basically, after the alst programme on Bravo, it went into a trailer for a programme on Living, then a Bravo ident, then a placeholder, saying that it had ceased broadcasting.

Further to that, it's no longer on the Sky EPG.

R.I.P. Bravo

It leaves me a little confused as I was under the impression that Channel One would go the same time Bravo did. Are they waiting for Sky Atlantic to launch?

And on Bravo 2, the last bit I managed to record showed the sting 'Bravo 2 Doesn't Do Regret' - which I quite liked.

I do hope you are going to put that on your site, Mr Wood, together with the closure of Bravo, if you can get that too.

Although I didn't watch Bravo very much (mainly for Star Trek:DS9) it had some fab presentation towards the end.

I don't think I watched Bravo 2 at all. Confused

It's sad to see the closure of a channel after 25 years, but times change, and I'm sure Sky have found a place for all the programmes.
