Viewer of the year 2006

Havent seen a thread for this but its about to start on ITV1

Its presented by Kate Thornton and looks to be some sort of quiz on this years TV.

Wonder what we can expect?

From what I've heard its people who are being quizzed on programmes and whoever wins the quiz will be Viewer of the Year 2006.

The winners get to wallow in a hole of self-pity for being so sellotaped t'box...

I quite enjoyed this Evenings programme did anyone else on here watch it and also what did you think of it?

Another great ITV idea

It beggars belief that Kate Thornton got the job of hosting it.She is clearly out of her depth every time she takes her eyes off the autocue.Also she didn't even have a clue where the contestants she was going to talk to were sitting.Also the programme was rank rotten.

Awful, awful, awful.

Typical ITV show really.

I liked the show. It was nice to see some of the clips during the questions. Kate did really well tonight and was the perfect host.

What with this and the viewer text competition during Millionaire before hand...is there nothing ITV will do that doesn't involve "standard call rates" and "minimum charges" etc.

It was a decent enough show to fill 2 hours on a Saturday night, plus it was good to see some TV highlights again

Good to see it was live as well, at least some people are working in the media this week. Peter Dickson was doing the voiceover live as well, half of the show in his X Factor voice and half in his Price is Right voice

So "ITV Viewer of the Year" wasn't you then? After all that work you must be gutted.

It was a decent enough show I agree, nice to see some tv highlights of the past year. And yes I agree it was good they did it live.

Kate Thornton was good at hosting it. Nice that Jack P aka David Platt from Corrie was a guest as well.

Anyone see that bloke who is a Corrie fanatic - nice to know im not the only one



It wasnt ITV viewer of the year - it covered programmes on all channels.
