Good idea, Hyma.

I think a law should be passed which demands all disableds and weirdos be sent to live in independent communes in Scotland.

But the beauty of sarcasm, witty wit, dryness and tongue-in-cheek is that it shouldn't be pointed out. It takes the edge off it. Perhaps this explains why many of my posts are misunderstood by the simpletons - but the way I see it, it's their fault for not being clever enough to get it.

So there.

Well a question I've wanted to ask Kat for a long while -- since this thread is perhaps holding her attention.

You are seemingly very well educated on the behavioural aspects of AS, and the anticipated reaction to those predispositions/displays by non-AS sufferers.

Yet whenever such reactions [as mild as they in fact are on here] occur, you seem to be as shocked as you would be if it were the first time you'd encountered them.

I think it's safe to assume that she's led a very sheltered life until now.

Perhaps there's a rather strong aspect of amnesia to the whole affair?

To counteract the crap people in here write about it!

But whether we write words of wisdom or words of crap on the subject, surely the rest of us only write REACTIVELY on the subject, once YOU have brought it up.

Would you care to furnish us with a list of other members who have BROUGHT UP the subject in the past?

After all, it was none of the rest of us who went to the trouble of starting THIS thread.

My notes show four people on the forum who have confirmed they have Asperger's, plus a further two who give that impression, but I may have misunderstood their posts. I don't see the other five starting threads on the subject.

Not that I'd want to oversimplify or anything, but surely if you spend a greater amount of time consuming the literary and television media you're more likely to -- surprise, surprise -- excel at such topics

And I had no idea this syndrome was so common -- 1/200 is really quite large. Perhaps Kat's clique is broader than we'd anticipated -- one day they'll take over the world, I tell you! I've already dug my own concrete bunker all linked up to [dramatic beat] *The Button*. I have supplies of tinned food and Coca-Cola to last me up until 12 May 2009, a "Quote of the Day" calendar block and a hydrogen-powered torch.

Interesting.

I suppose the subject of this topic isn't really pres-related, but hey... good on that contestant anyways.

He looked like he was pooing himself when Humphrys asked him questions he didn't know the answer. Poor little fat boy...

I've nothing at all against the contestant, just AN AWFUL LOT against the thread.
