That's another thing - why was it the 1970s version?

Nice as it was to see it again (and nicer to find a 1970s ident that doesn't suffer for widescreen cropping), YTV's Price Is Right ran from 1995-2001 so the correct period ident would have been the revolving "YORKSHIRE TELEVISION" chevron.

Do you mean the one where the chevron rose from the sea of gold, thereby leaving a blue band at bottom of the final frame? That was from circa 1986/87. I think that too had been discontinued by 1995. Certainly it was no longer being shown outside the Yorkshire TV region at the start of networked Yorkshire TV programmes such as Emmerdale after 1988.

What do you think will happen with The Golden Shot this year? Last time, the home viewer was watching via digital television, so with the obvious time delay, was completely useless at aiming Bernie the Bolt at the end.

Will they advise the viewer to watch via analogue or will they just forget and it go tits up like before?

No, he means the newer rotating version shown 1996-1999 (http://thetvroom.com/old/p-itv-1-ytv-past-a.shtml) initially during the "Channel 3" era before it was modified to remove the "3"'s from the background.

Not sure how they are going to play Blockbusters with the remaining 5 celebrities. It's a 3 player game.

No - I mean the one introduced 1996 (to coincide with the rebranding of Tyne Tees to C3NE), with the chevron continuously revolving against a blue background.
