The set does look an awful lot smaller. Having been to the recording of this Saturday's show, they seem to have installed the 'flats' (the wall with the flashing squares) VERY close to the camera line, but the span of the flats is VERY wide - it's not often I see them going wall-to-wall in Studio 1 these days but this one does. Making it look on-screen as horizontally wide but very narrow in depth because, of course, it is.
Apart from the large screen used for graphics and inserts and the area behind being used to display prizes, very little of the space behind the flats was used. I do wonder if perhaps all the various logo boards (for the sides of the auditorium) and props for the various shows are all being stored at the rear of the stage area, hence why so much of it has been 'walled off', so to speak.
