Fantastic! Can we start a petition to demand play your cards be bought back with Vernon as Host. We could threaten to boycott ITV and there phone in comps until our demands are met.

Deffo!

Actually I'd prefer him to do another Gameshow Marathon , because he has been brilliant at every gameshow he did in this run-- it would be hard to pick his best.

Plus the great thing about GM is that you get the variety, if you did another series of some of those gameshows individually, they would get tiresome I think-- even with Big Vern at the helm.

PYCR only need to be on once a week!!! for 8- 9 week then there could swap it with New Stirke it Rich, for another 8-9 weeks, then have More FF!

Fair enough Cool As long as we don't tired poor Big Vern out Laughing

I don't remember STV ever making Wheel of Fortune.

However Scottish Television DID make NOW YOU SEE IT. In 1986 that was presented by Jack McLaughlan. It was preceeded by the "thistle" Scottish Television ident. In fact Now You See It first appeared in the early eighties, when it was preceeded by the STV ident.

So how about, next series of Gameshow Marathon
Now You See It - Scottish TV (70s/early 80s STV letters or mid 80s thistle)
Three Little Words - HTV aerial
321 - special YTV ident
Treasure Hunt (the late 70s Westward version - NOT Channel 4 Anneka Rice) - Westward ship.
Sale of the Century - Anglia knight (I know that was in the first GM, but bring it back 3rd time around).
Gambit - Anglia knight
Celebrity Squares - ATV ident
The Krypton Factor - Granada ident

Scottish Television for ITV.
I even have fond memories of the Bertie Bassett thistle ending every show. Those were the Glory Days of the Gameshows.

Let's see if we can get some of the other small ITV companies in on the act. We could have:

TSW - That's My Dog (errr, then again, maybe not lol)
Ulster - Password
Tyne Tees - Crosswits or Chain Letters
Channel, Grampian - err, err, anyone?

I have a vague inkling Password was made by Ulster. I definitely know it was on Channel 4, not ITV when I first saw it in November 1982.

Did Tyne Tees really make Crosswits and Chain Letters? I don't remember who made those, in fact I don't think I ever saw them.

Did Channel or Grampian ever make any game shows (either for their areas or the network)?

Channel were credited with making Simply The Best, but the less said about that the better. Not at all suitable for GM anyhow.
