It looks like they're using the Challenge set for the contestants area, though avoided mentioning which channel the new series is on during the footage. In a way it's a pity they've revealed the star prize in advance, though the speed boat was fairly predictable.

Well Bullseye is about to begin, starting with the Central ident. Altogether now:

Goi woi lon-ga la ting ting

Very Happy Very Happy

Followed by the opening sequence. Will it be the one from the first (1981) series, in the pub, and someone playing the piano? Or will it be the later "Away Match" one with Bully driving the bus and flying in?

Central Moon ident just got played! The "Central" looks stretched though. Confused

I see, the three Gameshow Marathon celebs are going to have dart playing partners after all.

During Bullseye's run on ITV1 (I1) from 1981 to 1995 or whenever, the participants appeared as couples, i.e. dart player and corresponding non-dart player together. Why didn't, for example Andrea, come into the studio with her dart-throwing partner at the start? This remake should resemble the original as closely as possible, should it not?

Well the first part of the game - subject categories - is now over. There were three rounds of questions, as follows:

1st round £30
2nd round £50
3rd round £100

At least that matched exactly with the Bullseye era (1981 - 1995). Just one gripe, from 1982 - 95 you got £200 for scoring a bull, so why did you only get £150 for a bull tonight?

Wouldn't you all enjoy the show alot more if you weren't sat at your computer giving a running commentary?

Well last Saturday I, and some other users, were posting comments on the Eurovision thread whilst enjoying watching the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final. It was all part of the fun, along with (for me anyway) marking the songs on the BBC scoresheet, and at times singing along (with BBCi lyrics) and/or copying the dance routines.

Great episode tonight. I noticed they used the set and theme tune from the Dave Spikey era and the title sequence from the Jim Bowen era. Looking forward to Play Your Cards Right next week.

To pad out a 30 min programme into an hour slot?

I suppose so. That said, they didn't have a celebrity trying to score 301 or more in nine darts for charity, and the possibility of winning the bronze Bully. They did that during the 1981-95 run of Bullseye as a regular series (with Jim Bowen), and in Ant and Dec's Gameshow Marathon edition of Bullseye 18 months ago.
