Thames TV when Name That Tune was the middle part of London Night Out (hosted by Tom O'Connor) - late 1970s to 1982.

Thames TV when it became a separate half hour programme of its own, presented by Lionel Blair - from 1983 to circa 1987/88.

Anyway, why have we suddenly switched our attention to Name That Tune. I know that's coming up later in the series (so is Mr. & Mrs.), but I felt sure Vernon said it's The Golden Shot next Saturday.

Since that was made by ATV between 1967 and 1975, I bet they'll have the ATV "In Colour" ident at the start of part 2, just like they did when "The Golden Shot" was in Ant and Dec's Gameshow Marathon 18 months ago. Hopefully this time the ident won't be distorted through widescreenisation.

Because I asked about it. I didn't realise you were setting the agenda. Ass.

It was the only answer it could have been surely..?

IIRC the question at the end of BB during the Savage years always had an obvious answer!

The only mention of Ms Savage's reign, was Wendy saying she had been a panelist for all three hosts! I don't think even Lily could beat the under-rated Les Dawson IMO.

I know he irritates some people on here, but I really like Big Vern's presenting style. He has the right bubbly personality, down-to-earth, witty, just the right amount of cheese and lets other people get laughs too Cool

"Featherduster" is a far more common expression than the other two "feather~" expressions that came up I would have said? Either that or I'm a domestic goddess.

Hopefully they'll have worked their way around the digital delay which screwed up the end-game last time too!

Me too - I much prefer Vernon presenting this than Ant and Dec.

Very Happy Yey-- somebody who agrees with me. I don't mind Ant & Dec, but they can come across as a little OTT and contrived sometimes, especially on quiz shows.

Vernon Kay can be cheesy (in a nice way!); but I think he's more of a natural at quiz shows and has a better rapport with contestants, the audience and the panelists.

You've got to give credit to the warmup man on this show, the audiences are mental aren't they?!

Must admit i too think Vernon Kay is a brilliant host, and better than Ant and Dec, at least for this sort of format anyway.
