Vera

Does anyone know why tonight's Vera has been cancelled? Ive seen previews about it this week and im sure It was advertised before the lunchtime news as been on at 8pm, but it's been replaced by Lewis. Anyone know why?

They had to postpone tonight's episode of Vera because the plot was too similar to what happened to two British servicemen in Afghanistan yesterday.

The story had something to do with the army and obviously there's been that army incident in the news do that must be why.

I think this schedule change is causing ITV playout to go into meltdown.

After the break, a title card for Vera was just shown then before going to a breakdown slide and then back to Lewis, almost as if Vera is still being played out in the background.

Maybe they could replace it with an hour of dancing dogs? It's a ratings winner and ITV are very proud of that fact. hashtagthestateoftvin2012

Certainly set their system out a bit, even had some overlaps on Emmerdale

They are using generic ITV1 Back Soon/Welcome Back slides like they use at off peak times.

Didn't manage to capture the Vera card

We've got Vera on series link here on one of the Freeview HD PVRs and the change came so late that we've ended up with a folder called "Vera" with a programme called "Lewis" in it.

Couldn't they have put out next week's Vera instead ? Or doesn't telly work like that.
