Well you see the royal mail are very clever people.

After all they did manage to correctly deliver a letter simply marked "Dick, England" to Countdowns Richard Whiteley.

I would thought the letters would have gone through Carol Voderman first instead of Mr Whiteley Laughing

The address is exactly 'Freepost You've been framed' I got it off their website.

How exactly does the "Freepost You've been Framed" address work?
It has no street, town, postcode or country?

Don't let on, but the Post Office knows exactly where to send it... they've got a database of the "real" addresses associated with the Freepost scheme... fiendishly clever, eh? Wink Rolling Eyes

Yes, that is correct. I think "You've been framed" goes on the line after "Freepost" though; although I shouldn't think it would make a difference.

I sent in a video a few months ago, except it was on a VCD. Does anyone know if they accept VCD's; as I had it returned to me with a letter saying something like

"Unfortunatly, we are unable to use your clip(s) on the show ... due to the high volume of tapes sent to the programme every year, I am afraid we are unable to give you a specific reason for not accepting your clip(s)."

The following below off the YBF website probably explains why your clip was rejected ...

Quote:
All tapes must be accompanied by a name, address and phone number to ensure the footage can be returned. We accept clips on VHS, mini dv and Hi-8. Please note that while we make every effort to return all tapes, please send us a copy and retain the original.

A correction to the last post, from ITV.com/framed

We have the facilities to view most camcorder tapes (eg. Hi-8, VHS-C, S-VHS), or standard vhs on long or normal play. We cannot view the older beta oxide tapes or tapes on NTSC format. We are also able to accept CDRs and CDRWs. AT PRESENT WE DO NOT ACCEPT CLIPS ON DVD.

They also no longer accept e-mail clips although they used to...

I stand corrected, Chris. Maybe taking advice first-hand from Cool Tempest's post wasn't a good idea. Embarassed

And why do they not accept clips on DVD's? Surely they would have moved on with technology, as they accept CDR's and CDRW's?

If you think you have a clip that is worth £250 or even £1000 please send it to:

A few more years of service to Her Maj. and it could get a royal warrant...

(edit: It wouldn't ne possible, but I wonder what the wording could be: "Kirsty's Home Videos, suppliers of Humourous Televisual Entertainment")
