You will find that your grammar and spelling will be heavily criticised on this site my friend, but welcome to the forum anyway!

Shame you thought BBC World was boring. It isn't supposed to be watched for very long periods as it's a News and Current Affairs channel primarily. ITV doesn't operate an international channel. Most of it's decent programmes are sold to broadcasters around the world though.

ITV and GMTV are different things. ITV is more or less the collective name for a group of commercial franchise holders most of whom broadcast to a specific ITV region from 0925-0600.

GMTV holds a nation-wide franchise to broadcast on the ITV Network between 0600 and 0925. Your Nan's TV says GMTV (I assume this is derived from Teletext) at breakfast time - the rest of the time it might say ITV1 ...

God, I don't know who's the bigger twât - RTS or mikey. mikey sounds like he's about 12 though, so he's got an excuse.

Welcome to the Forum, mikey. Just bear in mind a few things:

1. We really don't care about your nan's TV.
2. If you're going to plague us with your presence, try to make it interesting for at least someone other than the mouse in your head pulling all the levers.
3. Unless you have an exceptionally good reason for spelling like an infant, you won't be welcome here for long.
4. GMTV and ITV are different, yes, but I'm not sure that your brain could cope with the surprisingly simple explanation.

Well he sounds like he's young so give him a chance. Besides don't we need "fresh blood" to carry on the discussions after we err... log off for ever?

Welcome to the forum mikey, get ready for an amazing journey as you attempt to wade through the bitchiness.

EDIT: Oh is that the end of the welcomes already? This thread just changed from "Hi everyone" to "Various ITV". Confused

I've edited the topic title to make it a little more clear. "Hi, I'm new" threads aren't actively encouraged (just imagine if everyone did it!) but as seen as there is some related discussion going on, it can be kept open. You might like to brush up on the old spelling and basic grammar though, Mikey.
