The original video of the official Vancouver titles posted in the Olympics thread has been removed, but I wasn't a fan at all when I saw it. However, flicking through the Paralympic replays on the EBU site was greeted with a rather nice opening sequence, though strangely the OBS logo isn't adapted for the Paralympics.
The IPC coverage on ParalympicSport.TV very good too for just a web-based operation, and could easily be retransmitted on an interactive service with minimal fuss. The highlights shows produced each day though aren't a standard length - they seem to be 15-30 minutes, and structured in a similar way to how the BBC have done interactive highlights before, so although not easy to repackage for a scheduled TV programme, again ideal for the interactive service.

BBC's coverage of this is on BBC2 tomorrow at 1pm, though they did show the curling final last night on the red button, which seems a rather pointless attempt at coverage really.
A very poor round up, which even featured some filmed stuff in the UK. Two presenters only for the whole thing, Bell and Bushell, shameful really.
Yes. The segments showing how exactly the sports worked and what able-bodied people look like when doing disability sports were quite pointless considering the only people who were watching this programme at such a ridiculous time would have been people who were already interested in the sports. Oh well. Roll on Channel 4 I guess, though it might be unlikely that they'll bid for the Winter Paralympics.
Are there technical reasons preventing the Paralympics taking place before the Olympics? They could probably drum up more support for them if they were that way round as it would be like a pre-show for the main event (not to discount the Paralympics of course!).
That's a lengthy debate but in reality the local organizers don't need the hassle of the Paralympics as they're preparing for the Olympics - and though it would act as a very good test event, it risks taking some shine off the Olympics by having the Paralympics first - so the IOC would never approve.
As for C4 and the Winter Paralympics - although I can't see their commitment extending past London 2012, the rights themselves are very cheap and if they could do a deal with ParalympicSport.TV, they could easily screen it with minimum input from themselves as they provide a daily highlights programme and daily live coverage.
I know it's too late to post here but, the games all finished on March 21. (I couldn't watch closing ceremony because I was in school time. I will watch it on that webcast service someday.)
Any way, this is nearly an end of this short thread. Thanks anyone who filled the thread with your little interest. See you at both London and Sochi's O & P games...
