"Incidentally, there's local input into the morning schedule on BBC ONE NI from Monday, with Lobby Lives (behind the scenes at a Belfast hotel) replacing a repeat of Homes Under the Hammer."

Yes, spotted that this week, filmed in the Europa I believe, up across the road from Blackstaff so not too far to travel for the shoot, it's a nice touch that BBC NI are opting out with a local series in daytime.

The 1990s RTÉ School Around The Corner with Gerry Ryan was actually a revival of an even earlier (1962-1967) RTÉ programme originated and presented by Paddy Crosbie. It was a radio programme before that, so it is a very old format. I'm not sure if RTÉ still hold any rights to it, but it would have been at that stage an RTÉ in-house production so maybe they do. On the other maybe Tyrone Productions holds the rights now. I believe the final RTÉ series of School Around the Corner (1990s) might have been a cross-border series, so that is perhaps how UTV got their hands on the format.

The only successfuly programme Gerry Ryan has ever presented for TV, mind you, among his litanany of disasterous formats...

Even Paul O Grady shown the next day at 9:30am would be better than the rubbish that is shown in that slot.

There seems to be no mention of Kelly ending this year on u.tv, in fact they are still flogging tickets for the next series.

(When I can get past that irritating IRISH Opinions pop-up... grrr)

Oh, and in the Meet the Team section, I see former UTV Live reporter Sarah Henry has become one of the Kelly researchers, but is that Katrina Doherty from Channel 9 also mentioned on the site?
