Think they need a new one.
I'm guessing that their server can only playout objects of more than a certain length -- and the only way around the present one is to either have a black space between it and the first ad, which they don't want due to the ads now running into each other a la ITV, or to lengthen the bumper itself.
Not sure why they couldn't slow it down rather than add a freeze at the end, but that's UTV for you. Look out for a replacement in the new year I'd say.

Why do UTV need a new Breakbumper.....or frankly Idents for that matter. They never use them properly, and even when they do, they make a pigs ear of them......a la cutting off idents half way through the music etc.
I do like UTV as a channel, and do think its better than an ITV NI, but why can't UTV do a deal with Granada and have them played Out from Leeds. At lease the breakbumpers, idents, promos will look half decent!!!

No! If UTV contract out presentation to Leeds, the people of Northern Ireland will end up getting idents in the wrong places and crashes for no reason.

I'm surprised UTV haven't gone for freezing at the end of their break bumper, they did it often enough to their idents for years.
