A few Sundays ago, I caught a UTV weather bulletin featuring the announcer (in this case, Robin Taylor) in-vision. However, last night's bulletin following the 2250 news was not presented in-vision but just done with a voiceover - Aidan Browne wasn't on our screens.
Is there some kind of rule to how UTV's short weather bulletins are presented? Are they only in-vision at weekends?
And it takes someone who doesn't live in NI anymore to open his gob to get things moving.
And again ten minutes later.
Now please get some daytime announcers at Havelock House!!!
UTV only use the breakbumper when they remember!!
I was shocked last week with they used the black UTV ident/breakbumper which matches their other idents of cows in fields, landscapes etc.
UTV dont even use the UTV day idents all the time during the day, the number of times I have seen their "normal" black idents during daytime programmes.
Do any regions other than UTV still have out of vision forecasts? Tyne Tees sometimes just have the voiceover during the day - but I can't think of any other regions that have them.

London Today has OOV weather during the mid-morning bulletin, voiced by whoever has presented the GMTV London bulletins (usually the presenter of the national ITV Morning News).
STV, Grampian and Channel also have OOV forecasts.
I've only seen OOV forecasts on Tyne Tees during GMTV - the rest of the time it's Bob or the Leeds team.
I've seen Out of Vision on all the daytime forecasts at some point, but it doesn't happen very often. Leeds very rarely does daytime bulletins, so it's usually when Bob's not around, but will be later in the day.
Apart from the GMTV forecasts, which are done by the person presenting the bulletin, the voiceover is always done by the same man - no idea who it is though.
No in-vision forecast at 12.40pm or 5.35pm... no Gilly in pink.
Perhaps it depends on the announcer whether or not the weather will be in-vision - as Robin Taylor often does his continuity links in-vision maybe he wishes to do weather bulletins that way. Does Audra ever do the weather in-vision?
