Looks like they've now got lots of aerial shots to use, maybe they may stay as idents!

I hope so, I think the aerial shots look excellent! These are far better than some of the ones they've used in the past. Any insiders know if that's all of them now or if there are any more to come? I haven't spotted any more since this afternoon.

Not so much an insider but I work closely with UTV - there are more to come. UTV are very happy with the new idents they've got and have asked them to be run for longer durations than they do currently. And they will be retained after Ultimate Ulster has started - the old set has gone for good!

Excellent news! These ones are much better than the previous ones! Good to hear that they want them to be run for longer as well. It looks and sounds awful when we get about 7 or 8 seconds of ident and the main part of the music hasn't even finished playing yet.

Yes, but then again, if UTV opted out more quickly and more neatly from the networked programmes, we'd see more of the ident.
Sadly, Buster's comments also suggest that unless your name is Julian Simmons, there's no hope in hell of much IVC in future...
I assume the two ident jingles have been kept on the new ident package?

Ooh I can't wait for this!! Does this mean we'll be getting a glimpse at some idents from days gone by? When will these be starting? Presumably some time after Thursday?

Will they give the telly on a stick a dust down for a 16:9 reshoot???
Or they could get all the announcers (not just Jules) to do IVC on mock sets of old continuity sets (wishful thinking).

Just seen a trail for a network programme which is being shown on Tuesday called David Beckham: New Beginnings. The trail is voiced by David Beckham himself and strangely ends with him saying 'exclusively on UTV'! Now surely they wouldn't have got him to record two separate versions, so has this been cleverly dubbed by someone at UTV? Or am I just hearing things?
