The first one (minus the "is your TV" slogan) is still used as a breakdown slide, as well as for certain announcements. It was used, for example, to lead into coverage of George Best's funeral. The second ident was withdrawn last January when the current package was introduced. This is because the current idents all use the flat logo rather than the bevelled one shown here. Don't know why the first one has lived on though all these years!
What would happen if ITV won neighbours and wanted it the 5:30 slot?
Very good question, it'll obviously not be on at that time then! I can see it being shoved to 5.00 or 4.30 but then I would hope UTV have the common sense to realise it's a popular programme and not to bung it in the afternoon at around 2pm!
It was a different situation back then though - the regional companies were able to show the imported Aussie soaps in whichever slots they wanted to hence Home and Away at 3.25pm on TSW.

Would UTV have to show it a day later than ITV1? Or would they be able to get a copy themselves to show at 5pm?

espeical if there a showing at 12.30pm that afternoon
Obviously UTV feel that Get A Grip is no good for their area and have hastily put together a replacement programme by cobbling together bits out of old productions. Hardly a new trick.
Here's the response from UTV:
Dear Stephen
Thank you for you email regarding ‘Get A Grip’. UTV decided to drop Get A Grip from its schedule as it was not performing well in terms of ratings. We are sorry that you are no longer able to enjoy it, we are looking for another slot in the schedule to put it in however it is unlikely to be peaktime.
We appreciate when viewers take the time to contact us as your views are important and have been seen by UTV senior management.
Last night saw a new look to UTV's Watch to Win competition graphics, including a new logo and the animation from the 3 Spring competitions we've had during Watch to Win's break:
Looks quite smart, but may need to be changed on a regular basis if they have a flowery backdrop at the moment.
Suppose that can only be a good thing, at least it won't get too dated. I presume they will change it in accordance with the seasons, but then again this is UTV. We could still be seeing the spring flowers in the middle of winter!
Right, time for another no-daytime-continuity-on-UTV rant.
Given that for the past two days there have been necessary schedule changes during the daytime, the need for UTV to have live daytime continuity has become more than apparent. It is ridiculous BBC Norn Irn can have at least four announcers working shifts before anyone starts their duty shift at Havelock House for their now minimised tasks thanks to over-repeated trailers and money-grabbing competitions.
There are people out there who would be more than willing and happy to do such a job on television - for a few people, it is probably their dream job. So why are Ulster Television putting their increased profits in the bank before providing a decent television service for all of their broadcasting time during the day?
A review of UTV's continuity team is urgently needed. This situation has gone on for nearly 10 years and while most viewers don't care, some of us find it unacceptable.
And yes, if you want me to help, take me on. I may be an ugly fat gay Taig with mental health problems but I feel I can still do the job to the best of my ability.
