I know UTV + 1 was testing on Astra but now it has appeared on my Freesat TV, along with a pre-rebrand UTV+1 logo (which may be LG’s fault rather than Freesat’s).

ITV is the parent company, UTV is the on screen identity. What's confusing?
It's no more confusing than the hearts era, where many regions had ITV branded trailers and break bumpers (although some had regional variations), and regional dual-branded idents.
Far more confusing was the era when HTV News was a Carlton production on ITV1 Wales!
UTV has actually got far more regional identity than what many regions had during this era, when they weren't even owned by ITV.
Just Noticed on one of the @utv reporters Twitter account photos of them @royal wedding they have itv branded I.d.s round there neck this whole dual branding thing is confusing utv/itv they really need to make there mind up sooner not later call it what they like no one is gonna care anymore just get it done itv/utv whatever u call it tv just make a decision already

But he's correct, ITV is the parent company, which is why their logo will be used in certain circumstances such as security accreditation. In the same way Viacom would be used instead of Channel 5.

More than a lot of speculation, some have forcefully said that it UTV was definitely going to be phased out when they moved buildings about every five minutes. Looks like they were wrong.

I hate the Utv logo and colour. Bleurgh. I guess it means the brand is here to stay. Not that it is a bad thing but really... it's itv now...There was a lot of speculation that the brand would go when they moved building.

But why does the voiceover say 'from ITV studios' instead of 'from Television Centre'?
It's pretty simple, Television Centre is so associated with the BBC that it just makes more sense to say ITV studios and who really cares in all honesty apart from us on an internet forum. If your going to say they should be honest then the voiceover will say 'Live from the ITV Studios hired from BBC Studioworks formally part of BBC Television Centre and now just Television Centre in London this is Good Morning Britain'

I was in Belfast today myself and walked around City Quays 2 where they are moving to. Lots of activity about the place and plenty of people going in and out. I seen a few people wondering around on top floor. There is a massive white area which cover about half of the windows on one side. This make me think it must be the new news set but I wasn't sure.
