It's got its own website as well, which includes some interesting drone footage:

Interesting. I'd say they realise that any attempt at showcasing the building is a waste of time. 12 months from now, I'd say that building will be gone. The emphasis is on the location and proximity to facilities/services. My money is on more apartments. I wouldn't be surprised if www.portland88.com snaps up the HH site.

A sign has gone up on the side of the building, landmark building and site. Clearly trying to sell to both, but as you say, it's not the best designed building in the world with a mish-mash of corridors.

Plus the graffiti has got worse over the last few weeks

Havelock House was surveyed for potential listing in 2011, and was not even worthy of a full survey:

The graffiti has been a problem for about a year or so now. For many years, occasional bits of graffiti appeared and would've been promptly removed. The walls of the bridge - just a few feet away from HH - have also been targeted quite a bit and were recently repainted. The grey section at the base of the building got so bad last autumn, they had to repaint it. I believe the graffiti shown in your picture has been there for a while now and they've just not bothered removing it.

I can't believe the building was ever proposed for listing. It's a complete eyesore. A number of extensions were added over the years; the section opened in 1993 is a total mismatch with the rest of the building.

I think the potential listing was only for the original building, and not the later extensions.

ITV Encore isn't even cold in its grave and at least some of the freed up capacity has already been redistributed. I've been informed that UTV+1 is now on test on Sky.

EDIT: just checked - UTV+1 definitely there, complete with '+1' DOG.

Interesting then that ITV Plc have deemed a +1 version of a regional PSB channel to be more commerically lucrative than a subscription nationwide drama channel.

Well of course it is. A timeshifted channel costs pennies to run.

I don't think anyone (other than certain people at ITV plc) ever regarded ITV Encore as being a good business move. It was basically a subscription version of ITV 3. Daft. I never understood the logic of it. Surprised it lasted as long as it did.
