It's not actually the break bumpers but the Back Soon/Welcome Back graphics that are ITV-branded. Just a minor playout blunder I'd say. UTV-branded versions were in use very recently. What's more curious is that the UTV break bumpers are just the usual versions rather than the festive versions used on network ITV.
ITV logo on the break bumpers going in and out of the film on UTV tonight. UTV still gets namechecked in the car sponsorship ads though.

The ITV 2018 preview just played out on UTV with ITV branding and voiceover throughout. Is there a UTV version that should’ve been played?
Probably. Unless we're in for a shock in the new year.

The ITV 2018 Preview is shown within advertisement slots and not as a normal channel promotional trail. As far as I am aware, it has always been ITV-branded on UTV. Quite why they haven't produced a UTV-branded version and played it out in the same way as an ad for a local company, I don't know. The same thing happened in the past, with a similar ITV preview.

No we usually get the horrible UTV logo added. We don't tend to see an itv logo unless it's an advert for one of the sister stations.

I suggest you re-read what I said above. This is not a conventional channel trail - it is embedded within an advertisement block. The ITV 2018 Preview is ITV-branded in UTV land.

I'm making you aware the preview has never been itv branded on UTV.

I have a number of off-air recordings of UTV over the last few weeks - and that promo (when embedded within an ad break) is ITV-branded on UTV. A similar preview promo - many months ago (perhaps even this time last year) and which was also sandwiched between ads - was also ITV-branded. A couple of pres enthusiasts from other ITV regions even contacted me earlier in the month when they spotted the ITV-branded promos on UTV.
You can keep saying the 2018 Preview promo is never ITV-branded on UTV. The reality is quite different.

OK apologies there's confusion here. You're talking about this year specifically but what do you mean when you say: "As far as I am aware, it has always been ITV- on UTV"
It hasn't always been the case is what my point is.

You've extracted that sentence from a paragraph that is clearly specifically about the 2018 Preview promo (the "it" in the sentence you've chosen to quote).

Back to the subject of the move from Havelock House...
...back in the summer, when construction specialists McLaughlin & Harvey started the fit-out of the new UTV HQ at City Quays 2, we were told that this work would take 16 weeks to complete. Well, we should be there now, more or less, if everything remained on schedule.
If system testing has already been happening, it is conceivable that they would be ready to broadcast from City Quays 2 in February (per the date in that recent article).
