UTV rebrand

And so it begins..

Our team at UTV is moving to new headquarters in Belfast. We are going to City Quays 2 in the Belfast Harbour Estate and it looks fab.

City Quays 2 is an office block, I believe part of it will be a hotel.

Extremely sad news to see the demise of Havelock House after nearly 60 years. I wonder where U105 will be relocating to.

It was quite obviously on the cards from the off when UTV Live just had minor amendments to the set at the time of the ITV takeover.

Almost certain to see UTV Live in the generic regional set upon the move.

Interesting, depending on how it's designed; the UTV Live studio might go Granada Reports by having a real window within the set.

It might now be "official" but their new home being the top floor of City Quays 2 has been known about since last year.

Havelock House is an absolute eyesore. A new apartment block is being built immediately next to Havelock House. If memory serves me right, the same developer also bought the Havelock House plot (though I could be wrong about that).

"UTV will be home to the most modern broadcasting centre in Europe".

Mmmm...I suspect, probably not the case.

A damnsight more modern than Havelock House I'd guess.

There are cowsheds in Donegal that could boast being more modern than Havelock House.

I don't understand how Havelock House is an eyesore? I visited last August a lovely shade of pink and rather iconic I would say.
