UTV rebrand

UTV just got a network continuity announcer over a UTV ident going into Jeremy Kyle, thats a first.

And something tells me it won't be the last...

Did they have an English accent or a Northern Irish one?

English woman. To mention that the programme contained strong graphic detail about sexual assault. Had it at the beginning of the show and also at the start of parts three and four.

That's something I have noticed with UTV with their announcements (and previously with Julian/Gilly in vision) they always give warnings regarding strong language or nudity. I cant say I have ever noticed this on ITV.

So this will have been an exception for compliance reasons.

Julian's announcements last two announcements this evening were time checked into the news. Surely pretty risky if they are prerecorded?

Ie always wonder if the Fr- sunday were live.

They probably have alternatives recorded too, though there is nothing in the schedule most weekends which could result in them running late.

It would be nice to think they are live.

UTV just had a moment and all we could see was the itv logo just sitting there.

... and then the I'm a Celeb trailer played over again....

The itv logo looks so much better.... sigh.
