UTV rebrand

Well, nauuuu on the (U)TV Forum.....

As of today the UTV logo has now been taken off the logo flash at the start of each YouTube clip:

Ba-dum-tsh! (This is quite ironic seeming as we had some of the UTV logo as our logo on the launch day)



It's also off of the X Factor app:

That app probably hasn't been updated yet as the new series isn't until the new year.

Even Jeremy Kyle only has the 2 web addresses given at the end for ITV and STV. It won't be long before UTV as a name/separate logo is gone and we have ITV NI.

It raises the question why haven't they replaced the old UTV logo with the new one doesn't it?

They have removed the mention of UTV altogether with a stand alone mention of STV on the X factor App and YouTube videos etc....

Ah yes, it's in the corner.

Why have an update for the app just to update one tiny logo most viewers wouldn't notice or even care/know what it is for?

The old look/logo was still in effect when BGT was last on and as there isn't another series until next year, the app hasn't been updated to either change the logo or remove it, and likely won't be updated until probably the week the new series is due to start in 2017.
