How do they film the backdrops for the 5 screens - is it one (panoramic?) edited to the 5 screens or is it a case of 5 cameras, one for each screen, positioned in a way to accurately reflect the view.
West Country (east)'s 3-sided view of the Avon Gorge definately doesn't reflect reality. The vantage point for that particular view of the Clifton Suspension Bridge, the view either side of you isn't what the "side windows" show (although they're both views from nearby, in the vicinity of the Avon Gorge). Not sure whether similar is true of the River Tamar view used on West Country (west)?
Given what's perpendicular to that bridge-view vantage point in reality, I can understand why they've done this. (Otherwise, the two side views would look pitch black in the night-time version, due to lack of illumination sources).
As far as I can fathom, Central's views of Birmingham and Nottingham are true to 3-sided reality.
So, there's clearly a mixture of "true to life" and "false construct" 3-sided views across the various ITV plc regions/sub-regions.
