She certainly did, and her and Lynda seemed to get on quite well presenting together.



Gillian and Julian still share announcing duties on a Monday night. Wonder if there's a possibility that we could see these two pairing up to do in-vision?

Indeed, great stuff with Pamela reading the news last night . . . a real hark back to the past!

As has been discussed on the news thread though, shame about the lack of interaction, but seems nothing's changed since the early 90s!

And as for continuity, what about this from just the odd 21 years ago!

Aah so that explains why it looked so cramped for the few weeks before the relaunch. That bit of the site is quite nice actually, good wee video too!

Good to see Pamela getting a crack at doing in-vision. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the first time a UTV staff announcer who isn't called Julian Simmons has done a link with the new CSO backdrop?

I think it's great that in two companies like STV and UTV they are trying to keep some of the elements of the old Independent Television (I won't use the abbreviation ITV because it reminds me of what ITV plc has evolved it into today in England and Wales ). STV opt out quite a bit, which all the old regions used to. And of course UTV offer regular in-vision continuity. It's great that Julian does it regular and it's great to see Pamela do it too. I'd love all of the UTV continuity team to try out in-vision. I'm sure Robin Taylor's done IVC in the recent past (i.e. last few years). Kudos to UTV and well done Pam!

How long have UTV owned RecruitNI.com for? They've started adding their branding to the adverts for it now:
