Some new developments on UTV today. Firstly, we finally have the festive breakbumper:

Then, in line with the text on the breakbumper, all the idents have changed to read 'Happy Christmas to U' instead of 'It's all about U'. Here's a selection:

After seeing that, I'm definately hoping that it's an ITV creation so that the rest of the ITV1 viewers can see it.

Well, that exact tree can be seen at the start of most (if not all) of the BBC's national and regional weather forecasts.
(Sorry if this has already been mentioned.)

When he was on UTV Life a few days ago he said he would be doing the Santa flashes again this year!

I spotted one of the Santa idents this morning, I wonder if they will run up to Christmas Eve - and I wonder if we will get Julian giving out Santa Flashes that evening (if he is on duty, or he could pre-record them as he did in 2003).

Interesting, very interesting.
Not quite the same, but same style. The UTV one is many open circles, where the BBC one is one spiral. Very strange though, it must be the year of the skeleton tree.

They're probably all from somewhere just off the Ormeau Road that's why!
I suppose out of nosiness I want to know if any of them are in the Craigavon area... so I can avoid them when I'm back home
