Forgot to mention this, a new promo detailing UTV's autumn season has been airing for the last couple of weeks and features a new series of 'UTV Rewind', the return of 'Lesser Spotted Ulster' and the start of a new programme 'The Fabulous Food Adventure'.

More changes on the ECP front yesterday, all the ECP menus are on the left now and are similar in design to the one I posted on the previous page. The menu appears with the 'It's all about U' text; the U then slides to the left and changes into the UTV logo.

The menu that promotes U105 radio shows is now only used before News at Ten and at the weekends is used before the late weekend news:

Is the UTV Rewind on tomorrow night a new episode or a repeat from last year?

I wished that UTV watch to win prize could be a date with Mark Mallett.

The new series of UTV Rewind started last Friday, Col so tomorrow night's episode is new one. This series is very short though, only 4 episodes.

Bah! Does this series have a particular theme for each episode, or is it just a pick and mix of stuff from the archive? Anything interesting so far?

Yesterday's UTV Live had a report on UTV Media's profits and started off with an animation from what looked like some sort of corporate presentation:

During the report there was also a brief glimpse of this...

...which must be the long-awaited new look u.tv!

Reminds me of the days of TVS and when TVS in the south became TVS Television, hopefully UTV Television is for corporate use only.

As someone not from Northern Ireland, do people have a strong connection to the UTV name?
Or would it make more sense to rename the company 'Ulster' so that it was 'Ulster Television', 'Ulster Radio', and 'Ulster New Media', etc.

It already was Ulster Television in the past, but I believe it was changed around 1992/3 to UTV as a large amount of viewers live in Southern Ireland and they wanted to appeal to them as well.
