I've just finished uploading a few other presentation items onto my YouTube channel, including the Part of U trailer, a few programme promotions, the Frank Mitchell DSO trailer etc.
Apologies for the aspect ratio on those videos, I don't know what's going on with them! They were all widescreen when I uploaded them and then YouTube squashed them into 4:3 so I used the YouTube tag to try and stretch them out again! It appears to work on laptop but not when I view on the iPad or phone!

Didn't the BBC use that slogan (well, "You make it what it is") immediately after the 1997 rebranding?
Some years before then, I believe.
Very much so. The instrumentation does it justice - prior to now, it sounded like they were pieces intended for orchestral sounds but being played on previous-generation synths...
The new music avoids being too busy; that's a trap which a lot of current ident music increasingly seems to fall into. It used to be handled quite well (for the other main broadcasters) all round - but that was years ago now and seems to have been forgotten... It always works so much better when the audio is written to complement the continuity.
even better "UTV: U make it what it is" or something like that.

Good work on the soundtrack: it sounds 21st century, like money's been spent on it and works with and without announcements over it.

Spotted two new idents over the last couple of days. Also, strangely they seem to have changed the soundtrack on the idents already. The new Portballintrae ident below was recorded on Friday night with one soundtrack and then again tonight with a different soundtrack. The other new one (Strangford) also has the new music. So either they've changed them all or they've recorded two versions of each ident. Julian's on duty tonight so most of the links have been in vision. Will watch out tomorrow afternoon for some more.
Also, here's the UTV version of the trailer for The Magic Box:

They variations sound like someone's just opened the midi file on their computer and selected a different instrument - especially that last one!

Slightly odd audio mix on that. The music has only been mixed into the left audio channel, so if you listen through earphones with only the right earphone, you can hear Eamonn talking without the music.

The last time I heard uileann pipes (I presume that's what the instrument is) used in an ident was this:
It's a shame TV stations don't have startup sequences any more.
One more, jeepers, wait til you hear the soundtrack on this one!
