UTV launches new idents

Dear UTV,

The Coca-Cola Christmas advertisment is the wrong shape on your blurry server. Please fix it.

UTV have just won a new award - longest break bumper ever... approximately 30 seconds at the beginning of the break and 30 seconds at the end (and then they crashed into the This Morning promo late).

UTV DAYTIME CONTINUITY ALERT!!!

Tina Campbell has just turned up and given a run down on UTV's election coverage - just starting now...

I'm pretty certain that was recorded - I saw "as live" continuity with Tina earlier... easily identified as recorded due to the blurry nature of the UTV server.

I wouldn't put it past UTV

GIllian Porter did the same last night, and come to think of it, those links looked pre-recorded too.

If you saw the local news in ITN you saw the UTV Election Studio (the UTV live one with a few bits of printed card) and then it cut straight to the newsdesk normally.

Both were live - one was a chromakey.

Didn't see that. I assume that the UTV Live chromakey set up will last for the rest of the week?

Noticed that in addition to these new idents (I've yet to see any of them though) UTV now has a new generic ident to replace (and good riddence) Big Blue (the breakbumper).

Its the UTV logo in the middle of a bar on a black background. Some effects are applied to it.

It was during daytime today.

Saw the new generic ident a couple of times yesterday, though they were still using the old breakbumper... and the old generic ident was used (clipped at the top, which is damned difficult to do when playing off server surely!) today before the lunchtime news.

How did it animate asa, or was it just a still? And what music accompanied?
