Yeh - they've been going out for a few days now - I mentioned them being produced in another thread recently.

..though the chances some of them won't be remotely local, some of them will be in the Republic of Ireland as in the case of previous UTV idents...

I've just watched the 0925 junction and we had the Funfair ident from what must be bloody ages ago (with an audio cut and vision freeze for at least 6 seconds)

The new idents, which I only saw for the first time on Saturday, use the soundtrack to the October 2002 idents; all four of them, not just the one used on that blue ident.
The new idents remind me of the short-lived 2000 widescreen idents; a black background, landscape shots (but new ones this time, two of the idents screened so far filmed in the beautiful County Fermanagh) - the UTV logo crawls slowly along the bottom of the screen to reach the centre, and you are even told where the ident was shot. A massive improvement on that blue ident.
I'll do some captures of some of the idents later and post them tomorrow - I have problems getting access to my web server

On Saturday, before linking into one of the programmes, the ITV1 ident with the revolving Rugby World Cup and Glen Thompsett v/o played out, before being cut midway through for the UTV ident.
So that's a yes then.
Not sure about no daytime continuity, will check when I go home soon and report back tomorrow if no one else does. There is continuity over the new idents, which run for longer than 10 seconds without a nasty video freeze, so far I've not seen what happens at the end of the idents, and Julian has done IVC for the past two nights.
The crunch is, will whoever is announcing tonight do a few IVC links?

They're *ok*, as far as they go. The music doesn't suit them at all, and as pretty as they are, they're not as nice as the pre-2002 ones, and the ones before those. Plus as Col says, they're only about ten seconds long, and then characteristically freeze. They need to be a lot longer than that.
But anything's better than the extended break bumper nonsense. This trail for Thursday's election coverage is nice too, UTV's graphics are nicer than Newsline's [IMO], whose aren't that bad either -- a bit like Wales Today's from earlier in the year.

Well I tuned in at 3pm and this was an occasion when the 'breakbumper' was used. Disappointingly they even make a mess of junctions into their own programmes. The breakbumper with its unsuitable music played for about 30 seconds, clean of course with that old ITV1 bed playing forever, before freezing for a further 10. UTV Live News then appeared. How they can think this is suitable continuity I don't know.
The new idents are ok but the music still doesn't match the animation of the UTV logo, and of course they freeze
