Has anybody captured video of the opening and closing of 'Ireland Live at 10'?

Good Morning Britain to air on UTV Ireland from Monday 2nd February according to some advance listings - a post in UTV's FAQ seems to indicate that they've had the rights to air it all along. Likely a response to the heavy criticism they've been getting from cable viewers who have lost UTV - it will mean UTV Ireland will be airing the vast majority of the ITV daytime schedule.

Interesting move by UTV Ireland. One of the mornings this week instead of Loose Women at 7.30am, they showed Storage Hoarders instead, and that didn't even start until 7.35am, from what I gather it was a last minute change.

I managed to catch the junction into The Jeremy Kyle Show USA at about 12.20am today, and the announcer advised that 'this show contains some strong language', as you do...

Will be interesting to see how they handle the local news opt-out.

Probably just show UTV News (NI) I'd have thought.

They may just run the local weather as they've been doing just before Loose Women and Lorriane

Only the start of their problems I think - the first review of their ratings performance by the major ad agencies will be taking place in a month which will determine spends for spring and summer - think they will be in for a bumpy ride

Confirmed by The Irish Times - Good Morning Britain to air on UTV Ireland from Monday with Ireland Live Updates. Head of Channel Mary Curtis says the updates will be the perfect vehicle to promote the evening news service. Comments on social media prompted the change of heart.

Starting to smack of desperation I think - the perfect vehicle to promote the evening news service? - wonder how many people they are thinking will tune in for GMB?

More than for Loose Women and the dead air before it I imagine, otherwise they wouldn't be bothering.
