Title music is the exact same as UTV live.

Apologies for the quality but because I've tuned it in manually I've no ability to record! Anyway, here's the opening to tonight's Ireland Live.

Music is the same as UTV Live, so money saved there. The desk looks strange and the first thing I thought of when I saw the background was "Tetris". The on screen graphics are a bit nicer than typical UTV fare, but the Ireland Live DOG doesn't match up to the UTV Ireland DOG, they could have at least aligned them!

The desk is erm.. unusual, presumably it has several presenting positions ? Is the later bulletin double headed ? I'm not keen on titles / graphics being green and the studio blue.

That's very good. Like the style.

Replicating this template up in Belfast some time soon can only be a step in the right direction.

Anything new in Belfast is better than what UTV currently show. It badly needs a huge revamp.

When Liam Doran was being spoken to in the news studio during Ireland Live at 10, he wasn't sitting on Alison's right hand side, he was sitting beside Chris while Liam Doran talked to them both. I never even seen that on any news in Ireland before. It was a nice change.

The studio is looking very nice for a first time look at the news programme. I agree that the music to Ireland Live is very similar to UTV Live.

The news website is looking Ok so far. A little more content on the sport's page would be a positive. There is only about Liverpool FA Cup match with AFC Wimbledon at the moment. Small like that make's TV3's sport pages look good IMO and that is bad for UTVI.

Despite not showing these programmes, I notice that UTVI Player will throw up suggestions for UTV Live and Good Morning Britain amongst other things/

^It's probably identical to the Northern Irish version of UTV Player. I wouldn't be surprised if UTV Ireland shows come up on the suggestions list there.

The desk is a bit odd. According to the Irish Times, the backdrop is real. Overall its a strange set but seems to work. I'm not really sure about the name Ireland Live, it seems like they started with UTV Live but decided they had to tweak it for the Republic. I think UTV News - or anything with "UTV" in the title - would have been better for the brand.
